  • What is Massage Therapy?

    Massage therapy is a type of treatment in which a trained and certified professional manipulates the soft tissues of your body; muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin, are manipulated using varying degrees of pressure and movement.

  • What type of massage will I receive?

    Various massage modalities will be used to achieve the best possible outcome for your session.

    Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Light Stretching, Cupping Therapies may be used at the discretion of your therapist, but will be communicated thoroughly before, during and after you session.

  • Can I receive a massage while pregnant?

    Yes, you can receive massage while pregnant. During the first trimester, massage can be received normally by lying face down and on your back. During the second trimester and beyond, the client will be positioned side lying using pillows for comfort. Please always inform your therapist of any changes to your overall health.

  • What are the benefits of massage therapy?

    There are many benefits to receiving massage therapy. Massage can help lower stress levels, increase immune function, improve range of motion, facilitate pain management.

  • What should I expect from my first massage visit?

    Before you even arrive to our office, you will fill out a health intake form. This is a way to get to know you and your needs before you even arrive to your session. During your consultation, I will ask pertinent questions regarding your health intake form and establish your areas of focus. Please remember that it is important to state all health concerns and medications so that I can adapt your session to your needs and cause no harm.

  • Do I have to get completely undressed? What should I wear for a massage?

    Massage is best received complete undressed, but you may undress to your comfort level. I will leave the room so that you may undress and lay on the table underneath the top sheet and blanket. Throughout your session your sheet will always be draped appropriately and securely.

    I would always suggest wearing comfortable clothing to your session or if you are coming from work bring comfortable clothing to change into.
