This type of massage is great for relieving chronic pain. A trigger point is a highly sensitive (painful) area of muscle tissue, which when pressure is applied a referral to another area of the body is present. This type of massage requires communication between the client and massage therapist often during the session. Restricted range of motion and pain levels can improve with sometimes just one session.
