My name is Sydney and my journey originated long before massage school with a family tradition of homeopathic remedies and a passion for helping others.  I was led to the Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, Virginia where I was inspired by a holistic community founded on the work of Edgar Cayce.

For the last 9 years I've gained essential experience working with chiropractors and performing therapeutic pain management body work utilizing Acupressure, Reflexology, and Myofascial release combined with the Cayce/Reilly massage modality to address chronic pain and injury/surgery rehabilitation.  I also have extensive knowledge in prenatal massage and love the opportunity to offer comfort and relief to expecting mothers.

Focusing on balance is an integral part of my philosophy on health and life.  This approach strongly influences my methods.  Most dis-ease in the body can be addressed in natural ways to bring the body back to homeostasis.  "Listening" to the body, especially in how certain conditions or symptoms present themselves is a specially honed skill.  I look forward to helping your being create the space to heal, recover and be at peace.

About Massage La mesa staff

I’ve always been an active person.  Playing sports and a runner my whole life lead me to study how the human body moved in college.  I loved learning the anatomy and physiology of the body.  I find it fascinating that every human being is made up of all the same muscles no matter their age, height, or weight!

I earned a bachelor's of science in Kinesiology from San Diego State University, became a certified personal trainer, have over 1000 hours of massage training, worked as team massage therapist for the San Diego Gulls two seasons, and taught massage therapy for five years before deciding to have a full time massage career.

Even 20 years after first being licensed, I'm learning something new every day and love the field of massage therapy.  Read more about Angela.

My name is Elisa and I have been a massage therapist for the last 9 years. I am new to the Massage La Mesa team, but already feel like a member of the family. I am a very joyful, positive, open and outgoing person who loves the work that I do. My massage style has been described as” intuitive”- “energetic yet relaxing”. Whether its Swedish, Deep Tissue, or Prenatal I put my all into each session, focusing on my client’s needs and issues. I have worked with all different types of people from Fibromyalgia clients to high school athletes, all with the focus of relief that includes balance and well-being.

Due to my own experiences with a back injury in 2015, I have become more empathetic and sympathetic to the injuries that some of my clients bring to the table. Chronic pain being one of them. Providing pain relief, relaxation, stress relief and healing touch to others is a service that I am very proud to be a part of.

I look forward to meeting you.

My name is Vinnie and I have been practicing massage for five years, and what a journey it has been. My introduction to massage goes back to when I would work on my mom’s feet as a little kid, and the “spa days” my older sister would do for my grandmother when we would spend the night at her house. Never did I think that those memories would later on guide me in the direction of healing. Through most of my adulthood I’ve worked mostly labor-intensive jobs, everything from construction to sand blasting. I never really had a passion that pointed me towards a set career path, until I found massage.  With a little soul searching and some motivating words from my wife I enrolled in massage school and hit the ground running.

Right out of school I began my career as a therapist at a spa.  I was so excited to use my what I learned in school and gain experience in the massage field. As my skills grew, so did my passion for knowledge in becoming a healer in bodywork, and taking a more therapeutic approach in my technique. This is why I’m so happy to be a part of Massage La Mesa with a group of practitioners that promote a balance of physical and mental wellbeing.

My name is Aimee and I’ve been a massage therapist for over 9 years.   When I was 16 I visited a massage school with my mom and I loved it.  At that time I didn't realize it could be a career. I thought it was something other people did, not a "real" job.  Fast forward 20 years and I was looking to go back to work after having my last child.  My previous jobs had not been anything I loved and then I remembered visiting the massage school.  That was it; I knew I had found what I was looking for.  I enrolled in a school in Chula Vista and have been massaging ever since.  I’ve worked at a few places over the years and the retirement home which was my first job while still in massage school, has by far been my favorite.

I believe our bodies want to be well.  It sometimes takes a little coaxing to get us there. Massage is a great way to mesh mind, body and spirit to help keep us on that path to wellness.  I look forward to meeting and working with you.

My name is Ashlan and I’m the newest member of the Massage La Mesa family. I’ve lived in San Diego almost my entire life, every time we’ve ever moved out of state we’ve always ended up moving back! I have a passion for helping others and creating a positive environment, my closest friends would describe me as reliable, empathetic and compassionate.

In my spare time I’m either chasing my two young children around the house or working on my handcrafted goods. I spend a majority of my time at home, where I feel happy and safe. If I’m not there, I’m probably at the beach which has always been a source of comfort for me. I love the water, I’m a huge nerd and love to dive head-first into any project you can put in front of me. I have an enthusiasm for learning new skills and constantly strive to better myself.

I can always recommend great places to eat or shop, so if you need a new place, just ask me!
